Winds gusting as high as 55 mph. Higher Sierra ridgetops could gust to 90 plus mph. * WHERE...Greater Lake Tahoe Area, and Mono County. * WHEN...From 11 AM Saturday to 8 AM PDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Those traveling over higher Sierra passes and recreating in the Sierra back country should be prepared for late season wintry conditions at times overnight Saturday into early Sunday morning.
