Flood Advisory issued June 2 at 2:11PM CDT until June 2 at 7:15PM CDT by NWS Norman OK * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of Oklahoma, including the following counties, Carter, Cotton, Garvin, Jefferson, Love, Murray, Pontotoc and Stephens and northern Texas, including the following counties, Archer, Clay and Wichita. * WHEN...Until 715 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 211 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wichita Falls, Ardmore, Pauls Valley, Sulphur, Henrietta, Davis, Waurika, Lone Grove, Healdton, Wynnewood, Wilson, Comanche, Ringling, Ryan, Springer, Elmore City, Petrolia, Velma, Scotland and Byers. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
